Anyone else have great difficulty installing a Magpul forend on a Grizzly 870 clone?

I'm trying to install a Magpul 870 forend on a 12.5" Grizzly clone from CanAm and it's way too tight. I had to smash the forend tube onto it, and now that it's re-assembled, the action is sticking.

I think I might have bent the forend tube, I'm not sure.

The stock went on just fine, however.

Will a stock Remington forend tube fit on this gun (in-case it is bent?), like here: http://www.brownells.com/shotgun-parts/stock-forend-parts/forend-hardware/forend-tube-parts/forend-tube-assembly-sku767000741-17672-42634.aspx

Same thing happened to me, apparently there are some tolerance issues on the grizzly tubes, so you have to shave a bit off the foreend to make it fit easy.

The forearm on the grizzly is notorious for being just a few thou bigger than a real 870 so most forearms need a little fitting

I'm trying to figure out how I can sand the inside out with the tools that I have, but I'm coming up at a loss here.

I have a dremel with cone-shaped sanding tips, but it's too "fat" to get inside and sand the "fins" off of the forend.

I think I might just buy that replacement and see if it works.

Wrap some sandpaper around a broom or rake handle and staple it in place and sand till it fits.

Was pretty tight mounting a Blackhawk/Knoxx forend on my Norinco HP9 (which I imagine is all but identical to the Grizzly). Best part was, I didn't even like it, so it came back off shortly after, with equal difficulty.

I had the same problem as you with my 12.5 grizzly. Even 40 grit sandpaper wouldn't have been enough for the size gap.. I had to use a corse round file to remove a whole bunch of a standard 870 forend to get mine to fit. Then to a fine file, then 200 grit to smooth it out before snugly fitting. I'm afraid it's probably too snug to remove, however it was a spare forend anyways.
