Hey all,

Put together my CSA and the Gen II adapter, but I immediatly noticed that on the last round of a mag the bolt hold open pops up half way, and catchs the bolt stopping it from closing all the way. Does anyone here have any suggestions?

Cheers,
Duncan

I had that issue at the start or sometimes it wont lock back at all or it locks back on the rear of the follower. I had a bur on my bolt hold open and lightly filing it down seems to have semi remidied this.

is it possible that these mags are not 100% compatible with the cz bolt since they were designed to work in an ar?

If you look at the older vs newer lar mags, you'll notice the the bolt catch tang(sorry for the termology) are different, the older mags are square, where as the newer ones are rounded, pissed me off too...#### we need to change these god damn laws

wasnt being sarcastic. the part of the bolt that strips the round from the mag on the vz is different from the same part or surface on the ar. the ar mag was designed to have rounds removed by an ar bolt and same story for the vz. maybe if the ar mags had the same cutout on the back as the vz ones do reliability would be better. not sure about this but who fvckin knows.

Gotcha, well yea, obviously some feed/reliability problems are going to occur. A product that wasnt designed for something, but adapted, is never going to be as reliable, but when a "conversion" kit is marketed, there should be some level of functionality. Regardless, the problem lies in the newer LAR mag followers. They are running less tight, rounded followers, where as pmags and older LAR mags seem to function fine.
