I just ordered mine in Olive with 12 inch M-LOK forend. Can't argue with the pre-sale price and if you bump up the order a little you get 10% off and he threw in free shipping. Mine worked out to just under $240 for the package. I've already got a stainless 300BLK barrel ordered and asked the builder to cut the blank to 12.5 inch for this upper. I have the rest of the parts waiting at home.

I really like the looks of Aeros' Enhanced Quad Rail myself. Just trying to confirm if they'll bolt directly to a standard Upper.

From the looks of it on their website I don't think it will. Looks like the upper has the forend mount as part of it and it uses a new barrel nut.
I figured for under $250 to get an upper and forend you can't go wrong.
Give Jay a call at Saskatoon Gunworks and he can probably answer your questions more definitively.

Of course there will be pics, I'm going to cerekote the barrel in FDE, gonna mix it up a little on this one.
Not expecting to get it till late August or early September though. This is just a pre-order.

It's this lil blurb on Aeros' site that has wondering

"These handguards do not come with a barrel nut to attach them to a standard upper. They will bolt directly to our M4E1 upper receiver."

The third picture shows how the new system works. I'm sure they could make a barrel nut that would let you use a standard receiver but for now it doesn't look like you can.

I'm just going to sell the upper I had bought for this 300BLK build... Or save it for the next one

Proprietary upper is a deal breaker for me.
I've been waiting 8 months for a Noveske 16.7" handguard.
I guess I'll keep waiting a little longer.

Just want to clarify from you CR5 about the price for both upper and lower, $ 250 for both parts? I left a message to SGW, havnt heard from them yet. Planning to get both in MLock 12" Tungsten for my 11.5 shortie.

No, that is for the upper and the 12 inch forend, no lower.
I think it was actually $233 for both plus tax, I had to order a few AR-10 Pmags to get the total up a little so I could use the promo code on the listing to get the 10% off but I needed those anyway and he has them in stock.

I was emailing Jay and his replies were fairly quick. When I called with my credit card info I had no trouble getting through either. Maybe give it another try.

Turns out I'm retarded , I need to make sure I read the entire ad when I see these things posted. Either they changed the wording to make it more clear or I was not thinking straight when I was looking at these the first time.
What I thought was an upper and forend for under $300 turned out to be just the forend and the matching upper is around $240. I cancelled my order since there are quite a few options out there for very similar prices that aren't proprietary, therefore I'll be able to mix and match parts with whatever I decide on instead.

I wasn't really worried about the proprietary upper at the price I thought I was getting but not when it's the same cost as any other higher end upper and forend.
