Not to long ago csa added a " tactical" varient to the line up. Havent seen a single one yet here but if you seen it its basicaly a decked out factory vz.

Think one of these in full color options would be awsome.

Don't bother with the polymer rail. Just buy a regular model and upgrade the foreend yourself. Honestly, if I could redo my build myself I'd keep the front lower handguard, have someone make a stainless steel heat shield and insert it into that lower handguard, and get a low rail to allow a red dot cowitness. Perfect lightweight setup IMO. But honestly don't get the polymer rail, just don't.

Meh. It's still a CSA. If there's anything I've learned from 10 years of owning various Vz58 variants, it's that Cz makes a much better gun than CSA.

Besides, the FAB polymer rails have been around for ages. They're often on the EE for like $50. Not seeing much innovation here.

Just on the .223? No thanks, VZ's are 7.62x39 for me or it's a different rifle. Once cheap ammo is taken out of the equation, why bother? Looks like any other rifle in the Tac'd VZ58 thread. I have a few of those buttstocks in the parts bin...

because 556 is the cheapest caliber to shoot if you want to shoot over 200 meters.

I never understood the appeal of taking a VZ58 and turning it into an AR looking rifle.

If you really want that, just pick up any VZ58,add a floating forearm and an M4 buttstock. VoilĂ . Ow it's tactical.

This is what I did to my VZ. Shoots beautifully and retains its unique look:

You can reload .223 for the same price or cheaper even than surplus 7.62x39. The expense argument isn't valid. If your willing to do a bit of work (I actually enjoy reloading) you can shoot a cheaper, more accurate round at longer distances and not have to worry about cleaning your rifle after.

I always liked the idea of a .223 VZ. Unfortunately when I bought my first VZ .223 was up at 500$ a crate with no steel cased any were.

I live my 7.62 vz/cz platform but still want/need a .223 when the price is right.

Right. How about an 8'' plate? 400m? 600? 5,56 is definitly more accurate than 7,62x39 and has better ballistic there's no debate there.

I've hit 4'' clays at 400y with my 7.62 x39 vz. I shoot over 200y all the time.

Just curious what's the reason the cz is the better rifle?

Yes, the 7.62x39 is capable of going past 200yds accurately, no matter what someone else says...

Would rather have an AR15 in .223, just my preference. I like the VZ58 in it's native caliber, part of the experience and the abundance of cheap ammo is just a bonus.

CSA had a ton of problems a few years back, some guys had to send their rifles back numerous times.

Might be some issues with the VZ58 lineage rifles coming up, RCMP just deemed the new 858 'Sparta' as Prohibited.

You can reload 223 for 17.5c a round? Dammit, wheres my BS flag waving buddy....Maybe if you bought all your components 10 years ago, but then, i'd be pulling up 10 year old price of 7.62x39

As someone who reloads 223, you're not doing it for less than 20c. I started shooting Norinco 223 in my semi's when it was cheaper than reloading 55gr FMJs

As far as accuracy....the accuracy difference is negligible for frigging plinking. If accuracy was your goal you wouldnt be shooting out of a damn VZ58 to begin with...
