Hi all, not sure if this is the right location -

looking at some stuff for sale from Zefarm.

Anyone ever deal with him? how was the experience?

Thanks,

I had many good deals/experiences with Jose back in the day before his untimely death. I have sent email requests to Zefarm to purchase items since then (I believe it is his son running it now) but have never received any responses....

Straight forward smooth purchase from Jose (RIP). But when I tried to buy grips from the son last year I asked for the total with shipping. Even though it was a bit high I agreed. When I emailed to confirm the total for the M/O he said the shipping would now be almost double. Wasn't impressed at all. Told him to keep his grips.

i dealt with him back in the day but i thought he was bought out after his passing, AstorArms took stock on as they were partners to some degree so i heard, didnt know zefarm even existed now. found link, interesting

Not sure what to think of them as of now. I inquired about a rifle they had there around last September and asked for more detailed pictures. After the initial emails I never heard back. After seeing this thread I thought I would see if it was still there and it was. I asked again for more pics and he gave me 3. Then I asked for one specific one and he basically said no, it's all there even though i could see that the dust cover screw is gone in one of the pics. Also if this particular ejector was gone and you werent really familiar with the action it could seem hunky dory other than spent cases just kind of fall out rather than jump. They also don't offer credit card for a payment option so this transaction doesn't really sit right with me. I may still decide to go ahead with it but I'm going to think about it for the weekend.

Communication is a Major PITA! Bought a mag off them, they sent the wrong one and can't get a answer now for exchange.

They have some nice hard to find stuff but are very high priced. The bad comms. and slow/non existant service are enough for me to not recommend them. It's a real shame!

Sure is! The item I was looking at was even listed as 'price negotiable' but I guess it's not negotiable. Not paying $600 for a bubba'd parts gun, especially not from someone who can be tough to buy from and no credit card protection. Too bad, I really need those parts!

After seeing this thread the other day, I resent my previous request to purchase some items on the website. No reponse so far.

Website does not seem to be updated. Not very user friendly when the only means of contact is via emails (which apparently are not answered in a consistent and timely fashion) and requiring a shipping quote to send a Money Order.

Does not seem too interested in conducting business.....

I am inquiring to buy a gun, he said ok no problem
The gun is beautiful and blah blah
I go 250km
once there, he told me that he no longer has the gun in stock
that the site is not updated
250 km to return
$ 80 gas for nothing

i dealt with them a few years back, no issues. But I think the name Jose rings a bell. I paid by going to the bank and putting the money in his account. I was nervous about doing that , but all went fine....

Well I tried to place the same order a third time and asked him if he was still in business.

His response finally after a few months is "yeah, but really busy"......he didn't confirm if the items I wanted were in stock or total cost including shipping and taxes (he only accepts money orders, so you kinda have to know....). I asked again, no response.

Bottom line....he is still in "business" but too busy to do business.....

I just put an order in last week, no problem with Comms at all, actually had 4 emails back and forth, real easy as far as I am concerned...ALTHOUGH haven't received my stuff in the mail yet......:)

the new owner (his son) screw me using the ""bait and switch'' when I bought a Mosin sniper. he sent several nice pictures on my request of the rifle. pictures was perfect and I request few other details and he provided infos very quick. I sent the MO and once he cash the money, he informed the rifle he will send is not the same as the pictures (was only a sampler what he said) I request refund which he declined based on his no refund policy... I then ask to send a rifle without any wood repairs on stick and he agree but once I got the rifle, she has a nice big square wood repair behind receiver. on top of it, the rifle doesnt cycle properly. I sent several emails since that and he never reply.

lame..
