Anyone ever imported from the UK?

UK to canada.

I brought over a shotgun and a rimfire when I emmigrated, the paper work this end was easy and the Canadian import/firearms people were very helpful.
I had a UK licence so just told the UK f/arms office that i had moved and exported the firearms, simple .
I know you can purchase guns in the uk with the purpose of of exporting but don't know anyone who have done it.
