Anyone ever try an EOTech knock off?

Has anyone had any experience with these knockoffs? I need something for my 10/22 and don't want to drop a lot of cash.

what particular knock-off are you talking about? I tried a knock-off holo-sight (i think it was 80$ or so off ebay - the same as the marstar holo-sight) it was total garbage....it didn't hold zero and burned batteries like an old discman.

When it comes to optics you get what you pay for.

if your going to go cheap, at least get the bushnell one, sturdy enough compared to the real knock off's or clones

Mine came dead on arrival. The seller is sending me another one. i'll get back to you with my thoughts.

The quality on the outside looked fantastic though and seemed like it could take a beating

Well, the Bushnell holosite is an eotech more or less, some models are identical other than that bushnell uses a plastic case.

Any idea what the Holosite goes for now? I called SIR and they said they don't carry them anymore.

Haven't seen one any time recently in Canada, they go for about 250-300 USD.

A new model 552 will set you back around $500 stateside.

The Bushnell ones are identical to the non IR models, just without the metal protective shroud.

I remember two years ago SIR was clearing out some Holosights for $199 (or was it Wholesale Sports?).

Buy the Bushnell. Knockoffs really are crap.
