Anyone experience qith 9mm para Alfa project revolver?

I am only gonna buy one more handgun in 2017 (or in the near future for that matter) and guess what it will be??? Just wondering, does the AP ever goes on sale for anywhere? I don't remember seeing it on sale much in 2016...

I have said that same thing every year. My hand guns must be multiplying on their own in my safe - that's ma stori an Ima stikintooit :)

I have seen the Proj Alpha go on sale at Reliable and CanadaAmmo.

Even better, looks like you can buy these Ranch made moonclips in the US. Uniqetek has them for $19.95USF for an 8-pack

Major bonus...thankyou !
Been looking for clips for my Alpha since forever.

If not ,I`ll try Reliable...as long as I get a few.

BTW-love my 9mm Alpha, super fun to shoot !

For those who don't have a calculator ... ?

The 8-pack of moon clips from Ranch in the USA is $20 USD. It's $27 USD to ship to Canada whether you buy one 8-pack or three 8-packs. It's then $67 for 16 makes it $4.19 USD per or about $6 CAD shipped. Don't know about their taxes.

Reliable's shipping calculator to me on Vancouver Island said about $14 CAD to ship 16 (likely more to Ontario and farther east). Adds about a dollar to the $6 cost per moon clip. So it would make the shipped price from them for 16 about $7 CAD each shipped to me. Plus GST/PST.

Buy from a Canuck?

I buy Canuck whenever I can unless not able to. Reliable is cool and I go visit their store once in a while. Basically I bought my first gun from them.

Americans and their super cheap (In America, including Alaska) flat rate box's....... I just ordered some triggers and a small barrel clamp and it's also going to be $28 shipped even though it would slip nicely(wrapped in light cardboard) in a padded envelope and probably ship for $10.00.

The sale price is reasonable but at the regular price not so much.... still cheaper then Magazines!

Pay attention to the fine print that says actual product may not be as shown. The clips you get are flimsier and don't hold ammo as tight so there is more jiggling involved in loading. They work, but there is a reason they are cheaper

Reliable is very clear that they are produced by Ranch Products, but yes, they currently show a pic of the stock OEM moon clips. I added some pics and notes in post #39 of my Alpha Proj 9261 review

Thanks for the moonclip update. Reliable is having the Alfa Proj sale now too. I am so tempted to get one plus a few of those moonclips. Not great timing financially-wise with the property tax and etc coming up... but ... so tempting.... Would the cheapest blue version finish be ok for a long run? Or stainless steel a better choice in long run? (just in case I really wanna get one)

I wished the stainless version was available at the time, I would have bought that one. It's purely cosmetic though as I've never liked that drag line that is unavoidable with the blued cylinders. The offset is you get those black carbon rings on the stainless cylinders where they meet up with the forcing cones. I don't mind those as much.

I've got some revolvers over 40 years old in stainless. They just get a nice luster to the stainless finish.
