the reason i am asking i have both real and fake Eotechs XPS3
and tested them both on Robinson XCR .223,
and to be honest i was not able to see any difference (no NV on fake)
i actually liked the fake better hence it had a crystal clear dot image and was very steady

I have had a few 'E-Bay' Specials over the years. Never had an issue with any of them.
Isn;t half that stuff made in China anyway.........

I actually have had parcels from China get here faster than my last order from 'L.A Police Gear'

I ordered a FACOG a few months ago for my .22. Its a great looking optic, clear and seems durable. But the windage and elevation won't adjust. Its a paper weight. Tried to contact the seller with no luck. I guess I'm sol. My only advice to to order one from this side of the pond.

I would be interested to see how the optic holds up dropping the rifle landing optic down on hard ground. The real one would hold up for sure....fake one I doubt it.

I wonder if there are different FACOG manufacturers. Some guys have no problem getting theirs to adjust. I've only seen them on .22s, but it would be interesting to know the results on a .223

I use a fACOG on my AR15 and have no complaints with it so far. I was happy to pay $120ish for it rather then $1200 for a real one.

I used elcan 1x4 copy on my CZ 858 fired more then half a crate of ammo absolutly no issues. Just keep in mind some copys are realy crap/toys but if you choose well there are some realy well made

In this scenario I myself would be hoping the cheap knock off optic protected my rifle enough that the rifle didn't show any damage, if the optic was ruined because of it I would say it payed for itself right there
