I have one and pleased with it. Good velocities and great accuracy ! Obnoxious muzzle blast but recoil is tolerable. 50 loads out of a pound of powder and at least .70 per bullet. Not cheap to shoot but tons of fun!

We have them in stock.
They seem to shoot quite well judging from the feedback of clients who have purchased them from us. We also have a few, that clients have purchased, that are waiting new barrels, before they are even fired.
Why Remington went with such a short barrel eludes me, but the performance is still pretty good despite the short barrel.
Be aware that the standard 700 rails does not work, many of the big box retailers do not have rails to fit it seems as we have been inundated with guys having been sold MLRs elsewhere and where they bought the guns there was no support for scope rails, brass, dies etc. We stock it all.

I just drilled the screw holes on my TPS 20 MOA 1 pc base slightly oversized to fit the 8x40 screw diameter. The TPS base fit the 8x40 screw head size, so no problem there. Simple deal, took maybe 2 minutes and it buttoned up perfectly. Most any local dealers can provide the 8x40 remington screws.

BTW, with close to 2 hundred rounds down the tube, I can say the gun shoots amazing (like all my remington's - I've been very lucky with them), with several less than 1" groups at 300 m to-date. It settled on the 250 Scenars at 2850 fps, but I have had them close to 3000 fps.

Just finished preliminary load development last week so I have not had much opportunity to shoot LR yet. Soon.....

By all means, keep us informed.

Unfortunately, in Nova Scotia we don't have the luxury of doing any kind of shooting in the woods outside of hunting season. That alone has been the reason I haven't bought one. Most of the ranges here are of the 200 yds. or less variety or frown on .338's due to range templates or restrictions.

Not exactly a win/win situation here by any means.
