I'm looking at buying CZ550/527 and would like to know what other CGN'ers experience with these have been?

thanks in advance,

I had a 550 in .30-06 and have a 527 Kevlar .223 now. I had no problems with the 550, it was extremly accurate in my opinion for a huinting rifle. I liked the single set trigger for targets, but never used it for hunting. I only got rid of it because I have not got out hunting in the last 2 years and had decided to get my Rem LTR and do more long reange target shooting. The 527Kevlar will most likely stay with me for good. I have had great luck with it straight out of the box.

HAVE A 527 varminter in .204, shoots great.... had a .22-250 in 550...had bedding issues, stock was cracked, pressure points on bbl, got id of it ASAP....couldnt hit a 8" pie plate consistantly at 100......

Not with your specific model but as far as the ones (5-6 of them throughout the years) I have shot/owned you can't go wrong with CZ/Brno

Cz's

I have a .458 + 270 + 223 carbine and all are just fine shooters. the over all workman ship is excelent, all are keepers. George

I had a 550 in .375 H&H.Was a great rifle.Built like a tank.
I regret selling it.Would buy one again without hesitation.

I have a 22-250 cz550. I love the rifle. Looking to find one in 308, but no one has one in stock.
The single set trigger is very addicting, makes using a heavier trigger suck, even if its really smooth.

I own a CZ 550 Varmint in 308, very well made rifle but not my most accurate 308 but still is moa with commercials loads... JP.

We have always stocked a few of these rifles in various calibres as we have had very good luck with them. Well built, accurate out of the box, and relatively affordable.

We do have the 750 sniper .308 in stock and it has a fanatastic 5-shot test target from the factory. CZ 550 Varmint Laminate .308 in stock, as well as various other 550, 527, and rimfire rifles.

I'm quite happy with my 527 Varmint in .223. I really lucked out on the wood on it.

It has a 1:12 twist and seems to favour bullets lighter than 55 grains. With Sierra 40 grain HPs, it is capable of approximately 0.6 MOA 10 shot groups.
