Im having trouble mounting a moe grip to my new ATRS lower and the holes don't line up leaving quite a gap between grip and receiver . Has anyone else had trouble with either a magpul moe grip , or a ATRS lower . I'll give an A2 a try to see if it's the lower or the grip . I hope it's the grip .

Can you not bottom out the grip against the lower?

Pretty much , with it on and screwed down there's a gap in the front by the trigger and up back by the buffer tube . I may need to do some dremaling to it ,Im just worried the lowers wrong . If it's just the grip the dremal will work

Just had a look at my MOE grip and I stand corrected, that would be impossible. Can you get the grip on properly without the screw? I know they can be a bit tight (mine sure was), might need to mallet it on.

If you are having an issue with the grip you will have that same issue with any AR lower. Rather than screwing something up why not bring it in to us and we will solve the problem for you?

Well the A2 fits the ATRS lower and the Magpul fits the Blue lower. But ATRS and Magpul moe grip is a no go . Ah well both rifles have a grip , I might give ATRS a call and see what they have to offer on it

It took a little cursing, but I was able to mount an MOE grip on a Gen 3 ATRS lower. The fit is perfect though extremely tight, and does require some good wrist strength (insert joke here) as well as getting that screw to thread just right holding the grip off of the lower for the first couple of turns.

I can't believe the quality behind these lowers, really really nice.

I too have been having some issues getting my MIAD to line up correctly to my ATRS lower. Nothing an orbital sander can't fix though. It looks like the MIAD grip, isn't perfectly square, one side lines up perfect with the lower but the other side has a slight slant to it. The screw hole also doesn't seem to quite line up properly.

We had this same problem on my buddies MDT Tac21 lower. The MIAD grip just wouldn't go on, at first we thought we stripped the lower. Then we started the screw with the grip barely on and let the screw pull the grip onto the lower. That worked well, the fit is extremely tight but it worked.
