anyone have a remington 700 in 416rem?

It has been a while since I worked on a factory 700 8mm but if there was only one, it was through the rear where they commonly are....
if there were two, my guess is the front one would be in the center between the magazine box recess and the recoil lug recess....
It sounds like you are making a stock?...... an internal crossbolt is easy to do and works very well.
