Anyone have a Sig Cross yet?

Sorry- no qd cups on the rifle- typed that fast and i agree, don't care about no sling swivel as well

You should probably take a good look again and check the box. They are supposed to come with a rear QD cup installed already. Sig just had the lack of motivation to provide a forward one. Unfortunately if yours got missed, you will probably be waiting a little while or jerry rigging with a Magpul QD socket.

I just reloaded 100 rounds of Lapua brass with 140 gr Sierra SBT Gameking and 34.4 gr of H4895 to break-in the barrel this weekend. I don't expect much in accuracy until I work up a chocolate load for this gun.

Anyone shoot theirs yet? I’m curious what the recoil feels like with the 6.5 in such a light rifle. I’ve only fired the caliber in 15+lb rifles with muzzle breaks.

I’m also very curious as to how it feel compared to my Stag 10 which sits at around 10lbs with no optic. I had bought the Stag as a hunting rifle but thanks to our wonderful government it’s unfired. The Cross appeals to me as a handy plinker and a hunting rifle if the balance is right with the optic. I’m quite familiar with AR ergos so I wonder if I could get off quick shots with the Cross as I would with an AR (carrying the rifle, flipping the safety off as you come up on target). Not sure if that makes sense.

6-7lb 308 hunting rifles without muzzle brakes are common and recoil is very manageable. The creedmore does not produce more recoil than the 308.

10lb stag without optics would have been a heavy rifle for hunting imo unless a vehicle is always carrying the rifle.

That looks great Brandon.

Has anyone seen what “modification” has been done for the 308 and .277 Fury variants of this platform in order to adhere to the OAL requirement?

I was told it is just a .5" spacer between the receiver and folder.

I am waiting for the 308 rifles to arrive, if the creedmore was 16" I may have considered it

Honestly the Stag feels fantastic. I think it’s the way it balances. I’m confident it could carry that thing all day. Now when I added my almost 2lbs SMRS the rifle all of the sudden felt heavy.
