Shotgun looks awesome, just wondering if anyone has owned or shot one of them...

Thanks.

Nobody? Is this a brand new shotgun or something? I know the regular Defender's have been out for a long time, this is a 'railed, marine' unit.

do you want the marine defender for your yacht or something? I prefer the original defender w/ no pistol grip over the new fancy extreme models.

I live in an extremely humid area... my Mossy 500 had surface rust starting on it, that's why I'm thinking about a 'marine' unit. I've read these are made in Turkey, hence the lower price. I see mostly good reviews on the Win Defender brand.

Of course, I'll have to add that 'marine shotguns' look cool as well V:I:

I have an SXP Waterfowl edition. Its a 3.5 inch chamber with a nice Camo Dip on it. I love the shotgun, and it is smooth and very very quick (it cycles back automatically). Hard to find parts for and has a short length of pull. Quality wise? On par with the crap coming out of Remington right now. I won it, and to be honest I would never have bought it based on the fact that it wasn't a Remington, Browning, Mossberg, etc...

They are apparently really good shotguns. Ive heard a lot of people are really happy with their SXP's.
Something neat with these are that the recoil naturally pulls the pump back with the resulting force of energy.
I handled one and found it comfortable, but the marine finish was extremely bright and kind of off putting. Reminded me of dicast silver. Not like any other marine finish from Mossberg, Remington or Hatsan.

I've handled on, local shop here has one. The thing that sucks is for whatever reason the stock is pinned, so no collapsing. But I'm sure a better buttstock. Cool choke, I like the sights, interesting shotgun on a platform with some good reviews
