I've got a bit of an issue and I was hoping someone could possibly help me out. My latest Sierra Manual is the 3rd Edtion which suits me find for what I load except for the .22-250 I recently picked up. It dosnt list the 50grn and 55grn BlitzKing bullets or Varget powder. I was wondering if anyone had a more recent copy of it and could possibly hook me up with the data I need. I went to my local shop and they want $69.99 for the most recent copy. A little steep especially for basicly only one caliber. I also wanted to double check some data. My manual for 55grn Sierra Blitz sp's with H380 powder shows 34grns as a starting load and 38grns as the max. The data for that bullet and powder on Hodgdon's web site data center shows a starting load of 38grns and a max of 41grns. I know there always going to be a difference in loads with different test equipment but that seems huge. One shows a load as max the other shows it as a start? I was hoping to compare the Hodgdon data to a recent Sierra Guide. If someone has a more recent copy any chance you can scan the 50 and 55grn data and possibly email or PM it to me?

Thanks alot

Tim

By the time I get home, I'm sure you'll hear what's in the newest Sierra manual. As far as the discrepancy in min to max loads between the powder and the bullet makers goes, that's pretty typical for Hodgdon. I like their data and they tend to be a fair bit warmer with quite a lot of common loads and calibers. Nothing to worry about. Start with the Hodgdon min and work up.
Love the avatar.....looks a lot like a g'friend I had once from Saskatchewan - damned near killed me!:D
