Anyone have experience with Millett or Leaper brand scope mounts?

Saw these brands on-line at a good price and was wondering if anybody out there has tried them. Also, is the Promag model 081 the right promag model, not sure if promag makes other models that work or dont work.

they arent bad.. not excellent but i woudnt see them failing on you.

i use the Leapers/UTG throw lever QD rings.. they are working nicely for me.. not perfect return to zero but generally within an moa

I have a Leaper UTG aluminum mount on my gun, I can tell all sorts of stories about it, but I'll save you a long post and say they're pretty decent except for the side screw you will most likely need to get a steel one.

EDIT: I bought mine from Fabsports for $60.00 about 4 years ago and had the side screw rebuilt by Pullen's in Victoria.

Thanks guys. Most of these mounts look similar but cost much less than the "name brand" units. Always good to save a few bucks if you can. Maybe I will order one of the Millett units and try it out and report back to everyone...

I had a millett LRS-1. Will buy another one. But man is it big!!
