Anyone have experience with Zeiss Warranty?

Hey All,
I have a Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20x50 that has a black smudge and some flakes on the inside of the lens somewhere. The damage was not from abuse it just came thru normal use. I am wondering if any of you have any experience with Zeiss warranty repairs. If you have any info on the time it took to receive the repaired product back or if you had to pay anything etc. I don't have the original receipt so I might be paying some money for this repair.

about 20 years ago I sent a 3-9x 36 Diavari-C back to them (from GTA) because the power ring was getting stiff iirc it went to New York then Germany then back to me in about 45 days - no charge and functioning perfectly then - and since.
