I have a Gevelot 4x32 Riflescope with aluminum screw-in end caps.
It is a quite a well made scope.
I have had it for close to 50 years and while it has been mistreated badly a couple of times it has never lost zero and continues to work well.
I know Gevelot was a French Ammunition Company with a Canadian Division located in Saskatoon from 1961-1973. They produced ammunition in Saskatoon using French components and also marketed Gevarm firearms but I am unable to find any mention of riflescopes.
In the late 1970's a gentleman (Mr Olson) taught a Gunsmithing Course at Red River Community College in Winnipeg, He used to work for Gevelot and thought the scopes were made by Redfield for Gevelot but the Made in Japan marking would probably mean that is incorrect.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Phil

I was a gevarm rifle importer and the scopes came from the factory in France
The 1989 price for a 4x scope and mount was 225FF about $46.00 then
I kept my Gevarm file , as the company went out of business because the gun was classified military
They can't import them back into France now without issues

I scored a Gevelot scope last year. I am keeping it to put on a classic rifle of some sort, maybe a 22-250 or a 250-3000 of some sort.
