anyone have info regarding 30-378 weatherby and extremely small bullets?

i can't be the only guy who's curiousity was peaked by a recent rifleshooter mag article that briefly mentioned roy weatherby creating the 30-.378 and loading up special 30 gr. bullet's and cracking the 5000fps mark for a military test years back.

does anyone have any pic's of the round, or links to a full article, not the little teaser blurb the rifle mag dropped, but a full page or two detailing it?

or if it actually penetrated armor like they had hoped?

Sounds dumb. The forces applied to such a bullet would likely destroy it on exiting the barrel, and even if it did get out of the barrel it woudl lose momentum so fast as to render it useless at any distance.
