Anyone have issues with AICS P-mags?

Gun in question is a Savage 10TR in a MDT HS3 chassis. I received a P-mag yesterday and, well it doesn't insert properly and if I can get it in, it sits too high and the bolt won't close. When comparing it to my MDT mags it appears that the tab on the P-mag sits lower and that's what's causing the issue. Anyone else run into this at all?

I’ve noticed the same with my one and only PMAG. If I put upwards pressure on the mag the bolt won’t close on an empty mag. Not a bad feature I guess if you think about it but I doubt it’s by design.

Sounds like it's not an uncommon issue for AICS mags to vary in their fitment and function from manufacturer, to manufacturer. Anyways, I did a little file work to the top of the mag today and it seems good to go now.

I also notice now on Magpul's site they included this disclaimer:

*NOTE: Not compatible with smaller base diameter cartridges such as .220 Swift, .223 Remington, .300 AAC Blackout, etc. or larger short action magnums. In addition, due to the wide variety and potential combinations of aftermarket receivers, stocks, chassis, and bottom metal that accept AICS pattern mags, minor fitting may be required.
