Could you please see if the bolts are identical between the two carbines; if they are not what is different?
I had an idea that one could buy the .40S&W version, then have a 9x19 barrel made for it and just get new magazines and presto! - dual caliber CX4 Storm.
I guess the most critical area to check would be where the extractor grabs onto the brass... is this area the same between both calibers? If not, is it just the "claw" that is different or is the bolt actually cut differently?
