Years ago, in the US I owned a 1901 W-F auto revolver in .455. They proved to be too sensitive for combat, but were used for years as quite a good target pistol in Britain. I never fired it, and eventually sold it. It was really too expensive to shoot -- parts too difficult to come by if anything broke. Now I own a Mateba in .38/.357, and have shot it a fair amount. It's very comfortable to shoot. The gun itself seems awkwardly large for carrry purposes, but as a target gun it's really pretty good. If you do pick one up somewhere, be advised that mine (bought new) came with a printed notice not to "dry fire". And taking apart the two halves meant a couple of hours of trying to get them back together again.
