Anyone here tried 50BMG/338 cal Sabot rounds?

I've been doing some reading on 50 BMG stuff and found some forums with discussions on shooting 50BMG sabot rounds loaded with .338 LM 300gr LOL
curious to hear from anyone here that has played around with such things.
was thinking with a small 3D printer, making custom sabots would be pretty neat
the idea of launching a 338LM 300gr at 50 BMG velocities might be fun too LOL
thoughts? experiences?
ya I know, yer thinkin why bother........but that kind of thinking is no fun

Whatcha mean shooting 338lm at 50 bmg velocities? Depending on load they are already close to the same velocity.

Edit. Seen some 50 bmg shotgun sabots but they keyholed hard

another thread I was reading was on one of the long range hunting forums. shooting a 308 cal 150 gr scenar /50bmg sabot for a muzzle velocity of 4400fps and still cruising at 1200fps at 1000meters..... holding 2 moa

Ohhh I guess with a full charge and a light projectile it would be cruising. Id be curious on stability

Yes people are experimenting here in Canada as well. Alti Printer is going to open up some cool projects. ;-)

Yes with conventional projectile design you will have issues. Kevin them NDP put micro chip tracking in you and Gunslynger yet? LOL!
