Anyone hunt New Zealand?

Wondering if anyone has been to New Zealand for Red Stag or Tahr. Looks like some great scenery and some beauty animals...

When I was working there I got invited out for a red stag hunt. Didn't happen unfortunately, but I looked into a fair bit. Hunts in the interior, looked like rough hunting. I'd still like to go though, hopefully when I get back I'll be able to work something out. - dan

One thing I can tell you dont go walking them hills with a rugby player or your legs will be coursing you for a day or two my bro lives on the north island I hunted fallow and reds only got small ones but nothing like I ever experienced before.Never went south island though were the thar are.But the sea fishing was the best highlight.Hope to hunt some sikas in about 2 years or so with my son.

Bull Thar rut in May / June. I'll attempt to post a photo of a 12 1/2 inch bull thar shot in the hills & a photo of same bull thar 2 months later that was freezedried.
