I had a blast, well once the dog settled down! Too many 60-70 yrd flushes until I got her settled. We had two labs and a German Shepard, my buddy had to leave his male lab home because mine came into heat. The shepard actually did good, several flushes doesn't retrieve the best though, would rather eat them... If anyone has been to long point you probably have seen the shepard that retrieves on water too. I am hooked on Pelee and will be back next year. We live about 4 hours away went down in a truck and motorhome, between 4 of us it was $420 (food, gas, camping, ferry) + beer and shells so about $520 altogether.
We got our limit easily after an easy second day. You work a lot less than the old Scugog Island hunts. The Islanders were quite friendly, heck we even saw the strippers (old blonde couger and the gang) coming out of the field with a pheasant! She was quite impressed even offered free lap dances, ok just kidding about the lap dances.
