Anyone hunting coyotes with a 6.5 Creedmoor? If so, any advice on what ammunition to use? I hear the 120 grain a-max or the new eld match bullets do a pretty good job. I'm not trying to save the pelts, I just want them dead. I'm used to shooting yotes with fast flat shooting rounds like 243 and 25-06 but I'm sure it won't take me too long to get used to a little extra elevation adjustment. The reason I'm asking about yote hunting with the Creedmoor is because I have a nice Remington 700 VSSF in 22-250 sitting around never getting used and I am deciding on having it rebarreled to 6.5 Creedmoor. If I'm going to spend the money to get it done I would like to know that I can use it to punch holes in more than just paper.
Anyways if anyone is hunting yotes with a 6.5 Creedmoor I would like to hear your experiences and advice. Thanks

Will the 6.5 be a big advantage over the 22-250 for coyotes?

22-250 is fine but a little 55gr pill really lacks performance at longer ranges or on windy days. I have plenty of wide open space to shoot. I've had too many dogs get a free pass just because they were a little too far away. As my shooting ability has kept improving over time I always find myself pushing the limits of what me/gun are capable of. There was a day when I thought my 223 was all I ever needed but now I know why the smaller calibers just end up getting left home. The 6.5 carries a he!! of a lot more down range energy and predictability than the 22-250. If I'm going to pull the trigger on a yote that is a long ways off I still want a dead yote. Not a spinner or a runner. I just been thinking this may be a good way for me to make use again of a nice gun that ended up getting left at home.

EDIT: My main reason for questioning the 6.5 Creedmoor's capability on yotes isn't really related to ballistics as it's a given that it will be far superior to the 22-250.
My main concern is which bullets are capable for the purpose. I would like something that still expands or fragments adequately.
