Anyone know a place that sells aftermarket Savage Mark II stocks in Canada?

Unless Im looking at their site wrong, they only have one (fugly) stock for the MK II

Give me a break... their stocks are $160 CDN to your door... that is a quality product at a good price... if you think you can find a better value elsewhere, post the link, many would be interested.

Some stocks here, OEM takeoffs cheaper than Boyds and it includes bottom metal which Boyds doesn't, I believe he ships to Canada, responds to emails quite quickly.

The price for a boyds stock shipped is a good deal for the quality you get. I think you'd be hard pressed to find something of equal bang for the buck any where else.

I didn't say I can find one cheaper......but money's tight and I don't want to pay $175 for a stock for a $250 rifle.

What other's have said is right, Boyd's is the best option. But, I also understand that between that...and the req. metal to finish the upgrade, it adds allot of expense and a little value. When I got my last Savage (Mark II FV-SR) I decided I wanted improved fit/comfort, but not Boyd's price/heft. So, I added an "Accu-Riser". Honestly, no temptation to get a Boyd's now~serves my purpose just fine.

Here is that rifle (held by my daughter);

You said the $50 shipping charge was disuading you... you would have to expect at least $30 for shipping charge... so that means the difference between getting it or not getting it is $20... skip your Timmies coffee for a couple weeks and you are ahead of the game. I have a bunch of MKII'S and 93's in various Boyd's designs and have not regretted any of them... if you just don't have the money that is understandable... been there done that... keep an eye on the EE and you might get lucky.
