I was asked by a friend to find him some 32 Rimfire ammo for his old rifle. Are there any Ottawa sources for this? If not, any sources that will ship to Ottawa?

Thanks!

Yep, on a cartridge collector's table at a gun show. Very likely not shootable and/or too expensive to shoot. It's another cartridge that hasn't been made for eons. Your buddy would be better off buying a .22.

These sources may supply but you will have to get a dealer to order from U.S.....Dixie Gun Works, Old Western Scrounger, no matter what, it will bw expensive. Your friend should look at having it converted to centrefire, and possibly chambered to .32 Ideal. This is what they did in the old days so I doubt it would affect value much!! The .32 Ideal became quite popular in the good old days as more .32s were rechambered to .32 Ideal than the cartridge was ever factory chambered!!

32 rimfire

About 5-6 years ago Navy Arms contracted to have a bunch of 32 short & long rimfire and 41 short rimfire made in South America (Brazil, I believe).

It was in blue boxes with black writing and sold in boxes of 50 for about $15 US. It still shows up periodically at U.S. gun shows for about $25-$30/box. Two years ago at the SHOT show I talked to Navy Arms and asked if they planned on doing another run and they said yes. However, the owner of Navy Arms died and while they are still in business I never saw the ammo show up. You could contact them (www. navyarms.com) and ask if they have any plans to do another run. Maybe if there is enough demand they will.
