Skinners was a Toronto gun shop a lot of years back down town if you can believe it or not . There were a lot of good shops around in those days .

I remember snooping around Skinner's in about 1982 or 1983. They were shut not long after. Kind of a small scaled Griffin and Howe place. I bought a book about John Browning the only thing I could afford in the store. Shame to see places like that all gone. Just found the book and it still has the store price tag, $ 9.95 big spender .As for the cartridge some more info of the markings and the head stamps could prove helpful.

I have had some of those shells in the past and may still have one. I believe Skinners also did taxidermy work and cannot recall the details but may have been shut down for some reason by authorities. I have tried to google that name for info and cannot find anything. Its almoat like they never existed. Has anyone else had that experience?

Toronto was gun friendly in those days lots of specialty gun shop back then Giovanies Hallems Le Baron even indoor ranges downtown . Most went down the poor economic road before the lefties took the town over. And as stated fly fishing shop also I still have a few Hardy's fly reels kicking around.
