Anyone Know Bob Ross?

I ran into Bob at my range last summer and got a card from him just in case. Seemed like a knowledgable and friendly sort, but that was a quick first impression.

Well, I have a rifle I would like bedded and free floated professionally and am wondeirng if anyone has dealt with Bob and can recommend him for this work? PM me if you want to keep your opinion private.

You have a card, which should have a phone number on it.

Phone the guy, ask questions. Does he have a web site? Can he do the kind of work you want? What are his prices?

Ask about people who he has done work for before. Get some references from him whom you can phone. Ask for pictures....gunsmiths who build great stuff should have pictures of their work. Phone his references, and also ask them of anyone else he may have done work for. Visit his shop and see what it is like.....and while you are there talk over any projects you have. Ask to see some of his work.

Then make your decision as to his abilities and equipment to do what you want done.

P.S. I don't know Bob Ross, but I do know Jack Schitt!

what you said above hit the nail on the head. There are those who can Walk the walk and those who can talk the talk. Can they do BOTH??????? That is the question?

I have seen sites by gunsmiths that people are SMITTEN by and have yet to see CLOSE UP pics of there workings or testimonials either good or bad.
