Anyone know "Dogbite"?

Hey All,

I was looking to get a hold of "Dogbite" to ask him a few technical questions. Have PM'ed him, but think he may not visit very often. I also tried to email him but it seems my privileges are still restricted. Any thoughts on this? Anyone know him or his email, please PM me.

No I'm not really, I just was hoping that maybe he had some friends around that knew how to get a hold of him. I was just curious about a rifle he mentioned. I'd email him but the site won't seem to let me. Anyone with email privileges, I'd appreciate you doing so and let him no he has a PM.

I do believe that all users have the ability to email while on the site. BUT... as a user you also have the ability to block receiving emails, either from the Admin/Mods, regular members, or both. Perhaps the user you are trying to contact is blocking emails being sent to him.

I for one trust most members on this site, but I block the email function because I don't want to receive spam or have trolls start contacting me.
 
Icon, your email addy is locked in the sites system and only if you post it on the site in a thread could you start getting spam emails through it.

The p.m. function sends an email alert to you telling you that there is a p.m. waiting for you here, it does not give the email address out to anybody unless you send it.

Therefore the p.m. must have reached the person as an alert that he had one, it would onlt go to the persons sign up email addy.

When I click on Dogbite's name it shows me this:

Dogbite
View Public Profile
Send a private message to Dogbite
Send email to Dogbite
Find More Posts by Dogbite
Add Dogbite to Your Buddy List

So this makes me think that someone can email him...just not me yet. I just don't know if this is a newbie restriction or what because when I click on "Send email to Dogbite"
it shows me this.

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I guess I don't have the privileges to email him, but am unsure what I need to do to get them??

I believe that Dogbite has chosen to "Not recieve emails" on his user profile. But really. If you PM him, he would get a email saying that he has a PM. (like Maddog said in post 5).

Email privleges??

Hey MadDog,

I noticed I can't email anybody including moderators...even if they have that listed as a option. (You do not, which is fine.) Now I am curious about this "privilege". Do yo have to be here so long or post so many messages or do you simply have to request it of a Mod or Admin?

"Nobody knows me...and I like it like that! TOU, you asked about my .223, well it's identical to the one that you posted pictures of, right down to the proof marks with the exception of the scope mounts and the serial number. Mine had a earlier productiuon run and the scope mount is a one piece. Do not pose the question, because the answer is NO!
