My friend got a sporter Enfield from his grandpas estate, and it appears to be drilled/tapped for a scope mount. I'm wondering if anyone recognizes the hole spacing/position, and can point me in the right direction for what mount might fit? As you can see there are two holes along the left side of the receiver, one infront of the charger bridge and the other behind the chamber.

Thanks!

I've never seen that configuration

so I'm guessing its a one off

Thanks. My buddy is new to guns so he isn't really comfortable hunting with iron sights, especially when shots can easily go past 200m on his brothers farm as the deer cross the alfalfa field. The hope was that someone would recognize the hole pattern and we'd be able to source him a mount but I guess we might have to come up with a different plan.

PH was 3 screws on EAL.

Never seen a screw pattern like this one.

Maybe get it D&T'd for a T1 as Ganderite mentioned.

Or, much easier yet, just buy one of the mega millions of Enfields that already have a scope mount on them.

Shoot it and see how accurate it is before spending a bunch of money on it. 1 minute of barn door is not for hunting.
Never seen one drilled and tapped that way before.
