All that it says is made in Hungary. 12Guage SXS. If anyone has any info and possible values it would be greatly appreciated.

Anything stamped on the barrel flats?

The only stamps are the ones shown above, would really like to get some input as to what this may be worth as it was inherited and I may want to insure it.

Pretty basic SxS and no noteable value. Probably loooking at $500.00 tops

$500 is pushing it $250 -$300 tops. They tend to get really lose in the wrist very quickly if you insist on shooting them.

I've got a FEG Continental for sale cheap... see my sig line. Not quite the same design, really cool gun, lots of feature for an inexpensive gun, like cocking indicators and a ejector/extractor switch.

I have exactly the same shotgun in 20 ga. with 28" barrel. Did not shoot yet but I hope it will do the job. I decide to buy a 20 ga. SxS after my father in law give me the chance to hunt with is Fox Sterlingworth 20 ga. and it shoot like A DREAM!!! He paid 150$ for it about 10 years ago; so when I said to him that is shotgun worth more than 1200$ US he did not want to sell it to me:rolleyes: I buy this Hungarian SxS and I have to say it's really different: handling, weight and quality of manufacture. But for 350$, this is what I was able to pay at the moment!!!

This tread help me too about determining value and/or quality; continiue guys we want to know more about these shotgun!!!!!!!!!

This is probably not what you want to here but; I took one of these in on a trade a few years ago, very nice shape low round count. Took it out the next weekend and shot 4 rounds of skeet with it (100 shells). After, I noticed it was coming loose at the Tang tightened up the screws and took it out for Pheasants. After 4 or 5 shots it had loosened up again. It had also come off face where the ejector's were rubbing against the back plate on closing. I took it to a Smith and had it repaired and quickly got rid of it afterwards. I am not saying they are all like that but I would certainly keep my eye on things. After all it is a $200 sxs

I have the exact same 12 ga. that you are showing in your pics. (Mine is stamped "Monte Carlo") so that may make it slightly different (Also says made in Hungary). I also was told that it is a FEG. My Pop bought this one at Sears in 1965 for $99 and has since passed it on to me. Ser number is 551xx (or 732xx) I'm not sure which one is the serial and which is the model number.

Over all its a pretty nice gun. There is limited info on the web about these older FEG's. If you find anything more about it, please pass it on to me.

Hope this helps some.

Thanks
