Use a measuring tape and find out. Measure your barrel and measure the overall length. Subtract the barrel length from the OAL, then add the new barrel length. If that number is greater than 26", then you're good to go.

i dont know where you can find a take down one but i do have a 10/22 with a 8 1/2" barrel and its 1/4" above the legal limit so that should be the same length you would need for a take down barrel.
it all heavily depends on your stock as well.
if your stock (butt) is longer then you can get away with a shorter barrel and vice versa.

id imagine your gonna have to look in the US and have it imported.
