Inherited this Ross M10 a while back from a Great Uncle. He was a tiny feller and the length of pull is 3.5" too short for me. Any ideas as to where i could get a stock or the best way to lengthen the buttstock??
put on a recoil padand use blak spacers until it is the proper length. That short stock will come in handy if you shoot from a blind or tree stand. bearhunter
Three and a half inches! Man you must have long arms, Marc!
It will be much easier and less expensive to lengthen the stock than to replce it. Just get some walnut cut-offs from any stockmaker, epoxy them to the butt, rough shape with a rasp, then use bastard cut files and sandpaper to match the contour lines of the stock.
Heck, you could use birch from the lumber yard, stain it, and have a very serviceable stock.
GOTO www.ebay.ca search "gun parts" located in " CANADA" when it gets to "catagories" click " Sporting Goods" . 19 hours left on a Ross sportered stock at $12 right now. Might be longer than what you have now?
