I'm looking for grip screws for a Sig 226 or Norinco NP22. I stripped one of mine accidentally.

I don't think I should bother with Brownells. Last week I ordered a few sig and wolfe springs. They only sent the Wolfe's because Sig doesn't have an export permit.

Unless anyone knows if they don't need an export permit for grip screws, or a CDN source.

Or even better if someone around here has some I can buy.

I ordered a bunch for my 229 before the "Brownells - export" issue came up. If you can't find any, let me know. I don't know if the screws for the 229 and 226 are the same, but I would assume so.

There are a couple of guys on eBay who sell extended thread grip screws for Sigs. They claim that they "won't ship to Canada", but I bet you could find one or two that would, for a price.

I was ordering some mags from marstar and they are going to sell me some np-22 screws with my mags. I have tried using hardware store variety screws before on guns and it never really works out too well.

You can still get them from Numrich, although they have added this $25 export handling fee now, so you pretty much need to order them in with some other parts in order to spread the pain around. Numrich has those SIG "parts kits" ... same as what they show on the SIG Sauer webpage:

So if you get that you get the factory flathead grip screws that come with it. When I ordered SIG grip screws from Brownells, back when it was still possible, They sent me stainless coloured ones with the torque head...

But anyway... Numrich... or you could try a SIG dealer in Canada. You might be waiting a long time, but maybe not. I think TSE stocks some SIG parts. Give them a call.
