Thinking of investing in a crate of sks's (crate of 10) or maybe some mosin nagants .

^ off topic but kind of interesting . might do that with a crate , but I think it would be much wiser to let it sit in the cosmoline .

It might be old information, but the old Prefair yard in Beloeuil, Quebec had all kinds of crates and containers. They rented them as movie props, and would sell if you really had to have one. Not sure what they still have now. Ask through their website. Things like that won't be listed.

Thanks for the quick replies !!
I think I will have to actually shop around and talk to local stores and whatnot .
If I get any gun #### I will be sure to share lol .

frontier definitely does sell a crate of sks's for 1800 .
not bad . I am sure shipping would be killer though unfortunately .

did you check out the table ? that would look sick in a man cave or gun room .

I think frontier has a flat shipping rate of $15 !

Frontier will not ship crates of rifles. Every time I bought a crate from them, I had to pick up in person, even with 10x sks purchases they box them up and send them for the $15 flat rate.

Lever Arms used to sell crates of rifles.

The big problem is many of the recent imports have arrived in boxes vs. crates. Case in point are the SVT's at SFRC - I was working on a crate deal and when the 200 SVT's arrived, they were all in cardboard boxes.

How are the Mags pinned on the rifle's from each place that will sell them in bulk packages? That makes a difference in value as well, No?

oh like the whole "frankenpinned" thing ??
I will definitively need to do more research before I buy , but thats a very good point .

also , I did not know about the whole crate vs cardboard box thing .
That may make things more difficult .

Yeah, avoid the Frankenpinning method and at minimum make sure the limiter is a rivet that does not interfere with the original serial number, and preferably with either the piece riveted to the follower or welded to the follower so nothing can be seen from outside the exterior. Way nicer!(even though one of mine has a rivet :) )
