Anyone know where to get a barrel-bushing style 1911 comp? I'm looking for one in brushed satinless. I know they used to sell them at Marstar a few years back. Any info would be appreciated. PM me or post here. PM if you have one to sell or trade. Thanks.

This may not be the answer you want, but it's the best I can offer. I have a .22 conversion unit for a Luger, the barrel of which requires a bushiing to position it and the nut to tighten it correctly within the pistols barrel. I needed to have one made, and asked Barry Jensen of Bits of Pieces to do it. I sent him dimensions and he made one from brass (so that it wouldn't mar the guns barrel) that fit perfectly. I don't remember the cost, but I remember it not being bad. You might give him a call at Bits of Pieces in Delta, BC for an estimate. He does really very good work. It wouldn't be quick because he's backed up pretty far, but it would be good.

brownells wotn ship that to canada cause the ones they have in catalogue are not registered with state department, also looking for one.

and dare i say it's for the look not the use.

there are news about this,
numrich has the EFK fire accessories barrel bushing compensator for 69,50USD they can ship to canada, they quoted me 33,50USD for shipping and handling though (flat 25USD rate for canadian orders +8,50USD of shipping)

Currently awaiting an answer from brownells about the very same product whose manufacturer seems to be registered with state dept. Howver on brownell's website the black comp won't ship to canada but the two tone will.

Will keep you updated on this,
it's a shame my brownells order has just been shipped, I had forgotten that was on my wish list
