They're making fun of me at 3 gun for shooting a little "pop-gun" Ruger PCC so I figured I'll try and make it even quieter by going subsonic.

I've got some 147s coming next week to try out and want to know if anyone is using the 158 yet as Campro has no published load data on their site for the heavier bullets.

Thanks.

Using the 147 Campros in my PCC (though only put like 300 rounds through it). Haven't tried the big berthas yet, too many 147s still on the shelf.

Yes, I chrono'd them in the winter. They are the same load I use in my pistols.
147campro, 4.23grains Silhouette, 1.097". 10 shots on Labradar gave 918fps 15SD.

Yeah, regular takedown 18.6" Canadian version, no mods.

I'll also clarify my above about doing the chrono in the winter, it was our indoor range so temp was around 19 Celsius.

Cool, thanks again. Shouldn't need to go to the 158s for subsonic, then.

Anyone try the 158 gr. in 9mm?

I have been shooting 9 mm 158 grain out of my revolver for a while. I am using Vihta Vuori N350. 3.8 grains OAL 1.13”.
I got the data from extrapolating data for 150 and 165 grain bullets because I could not find 158 grain reloading data. I am making about 134 PF.

Loaded tens of thousands of them.

I don’t like going much lower, as if we crony too low, you are just shooting for fun .

I have gone as low as 2.9, but unless your gun is set up for it, the slide will lug on you

Interesting. I was thinking of loading the 158s for PPC which just needs to make it through the paper and sticking with the 147s for IPSC.

Pretty much

Been using it in different guns, so I find 3.0/3.1 to be safe

Since I travel to shoot too, don’t want to be sub-minor

For my PCC loads I like 124’s

I’d be the same if traveling to matches. I’m usually 132-ish PF with my 147 loads. Rather be high than low to not waste a trip.
