They specifically say that they must be crushed, shredded or smelted in the bid. The buyer even has to provide access so the crushing can be witnessed.

I would guess that after heat treatment, it is only useable as scrap. No reloading potential if the bases are soft from heating.

Going by american spot prices, it is approximately $380,000CAD in scrap value assuming optimal value, but I feel like between the costs of buying it, moving it, processing it, fuel/energy costs if you melt it, then moving it again, you'd barely break even.

The brass is usually “de-militarized” by going through a grinder making reloading impossible.

There is provisions that the buyer cannot sell or use them for making ammunition.
Thats scrap metal nothing else.
