Anyone making bullets for an inline black powder rifle?

I have been keeping my eyes open for an inexpensive inline to use as a test platform for a heavy, paper patched bullet. I have two moulds for the 50-90 Sharps, but I think that they my be too heavy at around 500 grains. The 500 S&W mould by Lee might be a better choice, but I have not yet seen one for sale around here for a price I like.
 
I shoot cast in sabots. Mostly because I was already casting for 44 mag and it was cheap to buy sabots.
The fast twist rate in modern in-line muzzle loaders means minie balls are temperamental and really picky on hardness from my reading.
You will find people who cast maxi balls for in-lines and report great success. I've never tried them personally so can't comment.
 
Traditions buckstalker has a fast twist, and I figure that a minie would be an issue with much over 100 grains. Possibly even less. But i have lots of experimenting possibilities WRT lead hardness.

I also have several different 44 mag moulds to play with. Seeing as these things can cost $2 a shot with the fancy BP bullets and loads, I'm looking for ways to shoot on a budget, and maybe develop a hunting load as well.
 
The alloy won't matter much for sabots, but for a minie, the skirt must open to seal the bore, and still be firm enough not to strip on the rifling. Not an issue for rifles with 60" twist. But for most inlines, with 24" or so, it can be a problem.
I'm just reading up on it, my previous black powder experience was with a 16 gauge shotgun.
