Anyone making switch to rifled slug guns?

Anyone making the switch recently to rifled slug guns? I've taken my new savage 220 out only once and realize I have to watch for barrel heating, it's not like shooting a regular rifle. I think the plastic sabot responds very quickly to light changes in barrel temps.

Interesting, maybe slug guns and muzzle-loaders are not as much alike as I had thought!?

I don`t use plastic in my muzzleloaders, and with pre-measured charges and pre- lubed minie bullets, i can get 3 rounds down range a minute. Little longer if i wipe a damp patch between shots. Barrel will get hot after a bit, But won`t really affect accuracy. Flintlock takes a little longer but i have not really timed myself with that one. It’s more therapeutic as there is definite ritual to follow with that gun

The 58 cal is slug enough for me, have not tried an inline
