Any reason why you didn't put the gun in the title of the thread? You know, so that those that don't have one don't have to waste their fricken' time clicking on the thread?

Coffee's ready.........

my girlfriends dad has a Steyr ProHunter 300 Win Mag. Stainless synthetic with detach mag. Its heavy, ugly, but has a nice trigger and is quite accurate. Not my cup of tea, but he seems to like it

X2

But he is new to the site so lets hope he has learnt his lesson.
Now to get the other guilty parties to do the same, and they are not new, just slow learners!!:(

You're on an Internet discussion board and you're concerned about wasting time? FYI, depending on your browser, you can simply mouse over the topic and the first few lines of the post will appear...

I have a Steyr Mannlicher M - not the same gun but I'll tell you something about mine: it had better be damned clean. There isn't room for an RCH in the action.

Or you can just as simply include the topic you wish to discuss in the title of the thread.....

Then I don't have to waste time hovering my mouse.....:D

To get back on track here.

Yes, I have had a couple ProHunters. The 300WM and a 308. Both very accurate rifles, but as stated above they are relatively heavy.

I really liked the fit of the stock and the way it mitigates recoil.

Not a bad choice if you don't mind the wieght.
