Anyone own an XDM in Canada?

Good luck to you all on this one......

I really do mean it....

My buddy is waiting for one as well

I did not want to wait, so I got the XD45 instead, unfortunately Buffalo Gun Center is restricted as well to a 10 round mag, so even they can't get them in, and then export them to us here.....such a shame, but Springfield just might surprise us one day....

Well, its taken me a year of searching but I finally got my hands on an XDm 9mm. I'm the second owner. The pistol was originally imported into Canada and registered legally by a shop in Saskatchewan. The mags that came with it are the 19 round factory mags pinned at round 14 (see picture). At first glance I thought it was an over-capacity mag and was worried. All the comments here on CGN about it being illegal to pin mags ran through my head.... and I thought for a moment this was a garage job. A quick load and I confirmed the pin may be at round 14, but the mag will only accept 10. Thats a relief. I didn't relish the thought of how I'd explain 14 round mags to my local RO!

Nothing to worry about....glock mags at pinned at the 15th hole...doesn't mean the mag holds 15 rounds.

That gun shop in Sask I believe has been stocking the XDm for a while now.

Seems that way. All the other pistols I own have factory 10 round mags so I havent seen a pinned magazine until now. I was going to add a pic but damned if I can find how to upload an attachment in this forum. There used to be a "manage attachments" link but it seems like the admin's have disabled it. Oh well. The good news is the XDm is available. I hear they're expecting some 45s in later this year. Nice.

Sticky on uploading pics

Basically, you're not attaching or uploading them to this forum, all pics are linked to here from another hosting site....like photobucket

Just use the
tags with the URL, and you're good to go.

like this
