Anyone reload the 8x56 Hungarian round?

I looked in my reloading note book and found the following load. This was used in a sporterized Styer M95 and shot sub 2" groups.

Graf brass, Graf 206gr .329" dia bullets, CCI 200 primers, and 44gr of Accurate 4350.
COL 3.00". I never did run this load over a chrony, but it appeared to be very low pressure.

I did find that when bullets were seated at the min COL of 3.00", that they did not fit in the mag properly. I was only able to load 3 rounds in the clip or they would hang up and not feed.

.329, i thought i read that it was diff from 7.92 German (.3230. wher did you get the bullets?

I bought mine from Epps Sporting Goods. Tradex lists them as well. Lee also sells a .329 dia bullet mould, if want to cast your own. You can also size down .338 dia bullets in the Lee sizing die. This takes a really good press.

I bought one about a year ago from Tradex. Put about a hundred rounds of cast through it. I lucked out. Bore slugged at .329. Lee mold casts at .332. Opened the Lee sizer die to .331. Used to seat gas checks then pan lubed. Have only tried 2400 so far but accuracy at 50 yds was OK for a 100 year old miltary carbine shooting cast bullets. Also very close to point of aim. Another bonus!

Need to order some more 8 mm gas checks and try some other powders this winter.

i'm looking for the brass....where are you getting or finding it ????....I can't find anyone that has or knows of someone selling.....

Tradex lists it, but shows "out of stock".

Brass can be made from 7.62x54. I can't remember the exact procedure, but I'm sure a google search would turn up something.

I actually buy mine in 8X56R from BSS, a CGN's sponsor listed.

Here's a quick scan from my cartridge conversion book
