anyone replace the sights on their Norc 1911?

I had Roger kotanko install adjustable bomar style sight at the back and a fibre optic on the front. Ive had to many guns that didn't shoot to point of aim. Norinco sights are also rather ugly in my opinion which was another good excuse to spend money.

The front sight of a Norc 1911 is either a stake on or a dovetail. If it is a stake on, it is a standard Colt narrow tenon sight. Fusion makes them in all flavours, including fibre. Get the height that suits the rear sight. If you gun shoots high or low, this is the time to change the front sight height.

If you Norc 1911 uses a dovetail, it is a non-standard size. Ask your gunsmith what size cuter(s) he has and then buy a frontsight with a base the size he can cut.

Stake on sights eventually break loose. You can always cut a dovetail to replace the stake on sight, and change the gun over to dovetail front sights. These are more durable.

This was a stake on front sight that Roger Kotanko changed over to a dovetail.
