How do you guys find them?
Recent production or old stock?

I'm running an old trojan (narrow trigger guard) in classic with a ghost ultimate.
And since no dealer is willing/able to get me a ghost ultimate for Grand Power Xcal MK12, i am considering ditching the ghost platform. Another plus for DAA i have seen that you can simply interchange blocks for different firearms.

i use the magnetic version.rock solid, even unlocked gun stays glued in without any wobbling . the magnetic block is interchangeable . you can get spare blocks for most pistol used in ipsc. i know they make one for the sti plateform. sometimes a little filing is required for a perfect fit.

I've had mine a little while but I don't shoot enough to be an expert, still learning. But it's been good, I have a couple regular racers coming so I'll have more feedback soon to their base model

I run the Racer holster, which is the magnetic version, but without the ability to swap inserts. So far so good. I have had a spot of trouble keeping the tilt and cant screws tightened down. They seem to come loose after every day out. I will apply some blue locktite once I'm happy with the positioning.

Thanks,
Cal.

We sold DAA products for a long time (and still stock some items), and we sell Ghost products. We can order a DAA Racemaster holster, and recently have for a customer. But be warned, you can't easily "swap" them out for different calibres. Some calibres/models have to be fitted, which means you can't always use the for another model later on, as you may have to file down certain areas to make it fit. In addition changing between makes that do not require filing, etc. is not that easy. It involves tools and time and cannot be done quickly, so it would be difficult if you wanted to shoot two different guns in the same range day just the one holster. We stopped regularly stocking them because the demand for them decreased. Most customers told us it was because of the higher price tag, and the bulkiness. Customers with two guns would rather spend $155 each for two ghost holsters, than almost $300 for one, that was harder to swap. Regrading Ghost, I double checked with them, and they just don't make a holster for Grand Power Xcal MK12. Emails and messages from customers to include theat model in their production line is the only way to ensure they will start making it! If you do switch I hope it work out, and would love to hear the feedback!

I have an older racemaster that I've used with 1911's and is currently set up for my Grand Power X-trim. It's a good holster, but as DoubleTapAmy points out there are some flaws. I did have to sand the adapter block for my X-trim to fit, and its a hassle to swap adapters. It works OK if you're changing once or twice a season but depending on the adapter/pistol you may also have to change the cant/position of the hanger which is a pita.

I thought they we're quicker to change.
Obviously the ghost swaps real easy and i already trust the system to work correctly.
I just have to get the facts straight, i have had information that the reason CDN dealers will not stock the MK12 ghosts is because they overstocked MK7 holsters and are a bit bitter over it because they are not selling now, and dealers tell me that ghost did not start production on MK12s yet.

The GP was only purchased for steel challenge and i almost feel like dropping it because of the holster issue, or go with a paddle holster which i dislike a lot.
