I wonder for how much it went; when I contacted wolverine 1-2y ago they asked like 1750 for a brand new one !!

I read on here once that TRU runs the German made all steel SO version. Tactical Imports can order them but they're $2700. Don't know if its true.

Wolverine can also custom order them and most probably for a better price They can order anything from the SIG Eckernförde mastershop...

I got mine last year from Cabelas. They had them in stock and are $300 cheaper than anywhere else I have seen. Their page says they are "backorderable" so you might have to wait a bit, but the pistol is well worth it.

X-Five SO and X-Five Tactical are not the same; SO has a steel frame while Tactical has an aluminum frame (and is usually cheaper In the 1500-1600$ range).

Yes, I can't justify a 1000 premium for a steel frame since it also makes too heavy for IDPA.
