Anyone seen 9mm P226 magazines in captivity?

In the states, nowhere in Canada has them so I had to purchase mail order from USA. Google "Numrich". Mailed from NY state, got them in about 10 working days. With duties and shipping you pay about the same as buying in Canada...

Also you can purchase factory 40cal mags that work perfectly and legally (13-14rds) in your 9mm 226.

Try Wild West Shooting Range in the West Ed Mall, bought some there years ago when there was a huge shortage and Sig was shipping guns with one, plus they had Mosquito mags at the same time when everyone else was out. Might be worth a try, they shipped out fast, just make sure if you want factory mags to specify as I got one Mosquito Sig mag, and one jobber that time, works fine but be aware.

3 years ago doesn't really help. I looked around and asked numerous CDN retailers for about 3 months, if they had or could get some good MecGar ones, nobody could. In stock in the States.

To be clear, you want the crappy factory mags by Checkmate or the Mec-Gars?

I think I have checked all sig dealers on this site, everyone is on backorder. Has anyone seen or noticed any along their travels?
Reliable Gun has a bucket full of them.
Now if you want the 10/20 MecGar ones then PM me for the details ;)

Are you 100% sure about that? I tried a factory .40 s&w loaded with 9mm and it jammed on the second round.

Video proof. Factory 226 40cal work perfectly. Ran it through about 8 mags so far, flawless. MecGar 40's do not, from what I've read.

Interesting...........Might have to try that. I too have been looking around for 9mm Sig 226 mags without much luck. Thought Cabela's would be able to bring them in but no luck. Find it strange that the .40S&W and .357SIG are available but the 9mm are not.

My vid doesn't prove anything, why would I lie? Well that's a 40 cal mag, not a prohibited hi-cap... It works. If it doesn't work for you, too bad. Like I said, only certain mags work. Certain 40 mags have feed lips that won't work with 9mm. Would you believe pics of a 9mm and 40 cal mag with almost the same feed lips? Pictured are factory Sig 226 10/15 (9mm) & a factory Sig 226 10/12 (40/357sig-357sig is the same diameter case, necked down...) This is the 40cal mag that new Sigs ship with, I believe all new mags are made by Checkmate Industries.

The 40/357 mags are widely available, scoop them up. 9mm mags are available in the states, but not here for some reason. Got mine from NY.
